The Old Forge Boxford - AirBNB

The Old Forge Boxford - AirBNB

October 2017

Location - in the middle of the tiny village, opposite the church. It's an annexe of the owner's main house so she is right next door. There are one or two local restaurants and plenty a short drive away.

Style/character – Traditional in every way with oak beams, high ceilings and chandeliers. The place had a whole wall of books – a lifetime’s collection - tempting me but there’s a lot to see nearby too.

Value - one of the best AirBNB places we've stayed in with a complimentary basket of breakfast goodies

Access - straight in from the street with parking outside on the street.

Bedroom - upstairs with shower room leading off. High beamed ceilings and tiny window looking out to church. A little hanging rail behind a curtain which is plenty for one or two nights. Small traditional, comfortable bed and bedside tables plus a chest of drawers. Two large and 2 hand towels and full size including hand cream.

Power sockets – plenty around the cottage.

Refreshments - As well as the breakfast basket, there is a fully equipped kitchenette.

Mirrors – in the right places including one in the lounge.

Free WiFi & flatscreen TV in lounge

Two seater sofa plus dining table and two chairs.

Lighting – befitting a traditional cottage

Service -  a lovely welcome from the host and then we didn't hear a peep!
