Striking a chord in Hungerford
Back at the first Coaching Inn we ever stayed at for a return to Hungerford. We decided to drive as the hot weather was coming, so we made it into a true road trip.
On the way there, we stopped for much longer than planned at Bicester Village, where the huge Pret has its signs translated into 2 languages, which told us a lot about the international customer base.
On the way back, our main stop in Marlborough, Wiltshire, ensured a coffee at the delightful dog-focussed and wonderfully cool Coffi Lab and The White Horse bookshop, where I picked up Herlands. Only much later discovering I had it on my reading list.
