Eating my way around Shanghai
One of my favourite places in Hong Kong is The Dining Room which introduced me to Shanghainese food. This may have been one of the factors on deciding on Shanghai as our 4-day stopover point for New Zealand.
However, we only had one local meal, possibly as a result of only Chinese food being offered on the long-flight over. This one lunch was at one of the many restaurants, at one of the many shopping malls around People’s Square. It’s a shame I didn’t take a note of the name as the service was excellent and the food comfortingly familiar.
